A few weeks ago I was asked to come along to help out on a shoot with Adam Cherry. He had an idea of creating a moody, quite etheral bridal inspuration in a woodland, and using smoke bombs. This can look amazing on camera, so having never done anything like it before I was really interested and keen to do the makeup. A few model changes later, I devised a sweping, soft smokey eye, using MAC's Antiqued. I kept her skin very natural and buffed on the airbase rather than airbrushing. This is the result below and although at times the smoke bombs did not want to play ball, I think Adam came up with something really different for the bridal industry.

It was an understatement to say that Caroline was a perfect bride. So pretty and a pleasure to do, we had a super early start for this bridal party in Wickford. Caroline got ready at her lovely family home in Wickford before traveling to Gaynes Park to be married. I did the makeup for the bride, Adrienne her mum and also her four bridesmaids so it was a busy morning. Caroline had perfect skin but we used failsafe Airbase for a flaweless finish. Caroline also had wonderful cheekbones to contour and we added a Charlotte Tillbury Lipstick in Bitch Perfect to finish. Caroline had very fair lashes so for this I used a pair of Demure lashes in Aubery style, they worked perfectly and looked amazing. I worked alongside Gail Gardner who did all the hair and Caroline looked like a Grace Kelly bride. Gail sent me some lovely photos and you'll see them below.

It was a great pleasure to meet Kirsty and her bridal party on the 30th September, my last september wedding! So I guess you could say an end to the summer wedding season. I've still got weddings in October and November so don't worry, plenty more to come. Kirsty had booked her wedding at Gosfield under very sad circumstances, in that her Dad was vey ill and wanted to see her walk down the ailse, so this was a very special and also very bittersweet wedding morning. It was clear that the whole party meant so much to one another and that they all adored Kirsty, which is wonderful to see!

Kirsty chose to have Airbase, she has a gorgeous freckly skin, but we colour corrected in the centre and fanned out. Sometimes it looks more natural to colour correct the freckles in the centre of the face and leave some visable around the edges rather than trying to hide them completley, they are what makes you different and unique after all! She also wanted a defined, gold and cream smokey eye, with some Ardell lashes. She looked amazing and I loved going to Gosfield, its always a pleasure! xxx

I was very kindly asked by Tom Needham to come to the Pontlands Park Hotel in Great Baddow to do some makeup infront of his delegetes for a photography workshop. Firstly the model, Vanessa was stunning, she had the bluest eyes I've ever seen and really lent herself well to the vintage, gloamourous feel of the shoot. I did her makeup and we agreed that a smokey feel would suit the dress, with a vibrant cranberry lip. I applied eyeshadow using Mac's Dusky Rose palette which is actually perfect as a autumn seasonal look. We finished with the fantastic Charlotte Tillbury Cheek to Chic in Love Glow, a product that I use on nearly all my brides to pop the skin and give the skin an luminous glow. Below are some of the images sent to me by Tom. I hope you agree she is stunning. xxx
