A very happy new year to all of you! Sorry for the lack of updates, its been a hectic time over the christmas period. We had a gorgeous, lovely family christmas and now its time to get back into what I do best, which is Makeup and Weddings! I'm kicking off January with some trials and also will be attending an 'Advanced Makeup' course at the 'Sessions School' in London. I hope to gain some new ideas, new techniques to use on you lovely brides to be. I also have a special offfer running on my facebook page so if you havent alreday booked your winter 2016 wedding, pop over there, give me a wave and have a look! Click here to have a peak.

I'm also sharing some fab, yummy and beautiful images from a recent photoshoot I did with the lovely Kathryn Hopkins. I have worked with Kathryn before and she never fails to stun me with her creativity and fine art eye. We created a stunning vintage boudoir shoot that took place in Novemeber at Walkers Farm, which we've worked in before. I shall upload the images very soon! xxx

Hi! I just wanted to tell you a little about my lovely Hairdresser Michelle. She owns and runs the lovely little salon, The Cutting Box in Bocking just outside of Braintree. Michelle is a highly experienced Hair stylist and has done wonders for my hair for nearly seven years. Those who know me, know that I've always found it hard to bond to one hairdresser. I was never a fan of the small talk, the waiting about in the chair and als going back six weeks later and finding the girl I'd bonded with over those three hours had no idea who I was. Thus beginining the process once more. I've also, since a young teen been incredibly intimidated by the prospect of visiting a Salon. For a start you never look your best when you walk in, thats why you are there in the first place. But also I hated being faced with all these young people, with perfect hair. Its a personal thing, but I struggled for years to find someone I liked. Then one day I followed a sign down an alley in Braintree (not usually a good thing) and found a really cute little cottage style salon called 'The Courtyard' and there I found Michelle. Michelle not only remembered me the following visit, we got to know eachother, were pregnant at the same time and really got on! Plus she is really good at her job.

I was really over the moon when she asked me to do the makeup for her models that were being shot for images for her new website. Michelle moved to Bocking three years ago but has now launched her site, which I think you'll agree looks fab. For the makeup I wanted to create a very 'nude' look, a very polished, flawless look that wouldnt dominate over the Hair styles Michelle was creating. I created a board on Pinterest and gathered my kit and went to work one saturday afternoon in early September.

I had three gorgeous models and I used a combination of Airbase and Bare Minerals Bareskin for the results. I'm thrilled with the images. There is a sneak peak below, but please have a look under my Photographic section to see the others. Check out Michelle's site here.

I'm so over the moon to announce that I've ben listed as a finalist in the 2015 Essex Wedding Awards. The awards are judged by real brides over the period of a couple of days and were announced this Monday. I'm so thrilled and also mega excited to be able to attend the ceremony, a red carpet, oscar style event in November. Little black dress diet starts this weekend. Thank you so much to all of my brides, past and present who have given me beautiful images to use and allowed me to completely exploit you, ha ha! Its only a few weeks untill the ceremony and I shall keep my facebook and instagram updated! Thank you for all your support! x

On the 1st August this year somehting very beautiful came together in the little village of Farnham, just outside Bishops Stortford. I'm so proud to announce that along with a range of many talented suppliers, we shot a Bridal Inspiration shoot and it was epic. We had ten bridal gowns, three models, flower crowns, bouquets, a naked cake to die for and a location of locations.

I cannot wait to share the makeup looks that I created for this amazing day. The professional photos from Kathryn Hopkins Photography are nearly finished. There was a lot of pretty going on. Jade from Fallen Flowers created some of the most artistic and breathtaking bouquets I've ever seen, a far cry from your usual bridal line up. Dawn Taylor created fantastic, elegant bohemian hair styles, designed to flow with the 'Edwardian bo-ho theme'. Can these two themes co-exsist? I can assure you they work wonderfully together.

We were blessed to have two amazing Bridal shops on board, Martels Event Village in Barnston and The Bridal Reloved Boutique in Maldon, who provided a sumptious variety of dresses from Jenny Packham, Art Couture Bridal and D'zage. We were very spolit. Here are a few behind the scenes pictures but the professional ones should be along very soon.

Another lovely wedding on the blog tonight! Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to do the makeup for Claire at her family home in Colchester. Its always nice to go to the bride's family home, as this is where she grew up and there is always a more relaxed, family feel. Its nice to feel the excitement building, as flowers arrive, flower girls (in this case Claire's own little ones) are dropped off and its a very different atmosphere to being within a venue. Its fair to say I love both!

Claire wanted a a natural bridal look but with more focus on her eyes and once again this look was almost entirely completed using Bare Minerals. This suited the bride's skin and gave her a very even, flawless finish. We were also able to even out areas on her chest where she had caught the sun. As you will see from the before and after photos above, we used Red Cherry Lashes, and Claire chose the style 'Stevi'. I also applied some lashes for her Mum Christine and did her foundation, blush and eye makeup. Originally Christine was going to do her own but sat down in the chair in the end. She had never used any lashes before and I convinced her to try the Revlon Lashes that I had in the natural range. As you can see they look amazing and felt very comfortable.

While I was there I also helped out with a couple of the bridesmaids, doing some last minute fix its. One of them was the lovely Jo above, who I also helped apply her own lashes which were the Kimberly Walsh range from Eyelure.
